I Found My Way Back to the Interwebz!

It’s been about a month since I last blogged. A lot has been going on that I just haven’t found the time to sit and blog, not to mention that when Ally sees the laptop out she runs right over and starts pushing as many buttons as possible haha. So basically if she is awake, then no laptop. I started a part-time job around the time I posted my last post, and since then I’ve been trying to put in some extra hours. Those credit cards aren’t going to pay themselves, though that would be great if they did. A good friend that I’ve known since elementary school got me in at his job, which goes to prove, once again, that it’s not what you know, it’s who you know. Lucky for me I know a lot of people. Because I know you are dying to know where I work, I’ll just say that I work in a senior living home in dining services. Which has its ups and downs, but that’s a post for another day, today I’m just playing catch up.

Don’t I look thrilled to be back at work? Lol I have to pay for my gaming habit though.

It seems like this little girl is growing way too fast! Ally mimics me a lot more these days, which I looove. It’s just so darn cute, and she’s looking more and more like me everyday. She’s learned quite a few words now and has also been lucky enough to inherit my clumsiness. My poor kid haha. It’s so amazing to be able to spend most of my time with her. She is a total mommas girl right now, and although it can be exhausting it also melts my heart like nothing else ever could. I’m thinking this kid will be musically inclined, she loves playing with the harmonica and her daddy teaches her to dance and sings to her and she just loves it. They are music lovers through and through. She’s getting some new teefers in too, it’s so weird to see all of her teeth and remembering the days when she had a gummy smile lol. It gives me baby fever thinking about it, but I’m not ready for that again yet.

Such a mommas girl♥

I guess I should also mention some games I’ve been playing. Recently I’ve beaten Alice Madness Returns and Lego Harry Potter 2. Both really good games by the way, and of course on the 360. It’s my choice console, hence the words “Achievement Unlocked” in my blog name. But I have dusted off my Vita and started playing some games on it as of late. I’m currently playing Sound Shapes and Uncharted: Golden Abyss. Sound Shapes is a lot of fun and great for on the go play since the levels aren’t too long and are satisfying to complete. Now I’m not very far in Uncharted: GA, but it just feels so gimmicky right now. It’s trying too hard to incorporate all the features of the Vita. yes, I know, I’m super late at playing it, but better late than never right? I still plan to go through the entire campaign, but the aiming/shooting is a bit frustrating and might take some getting used to. I’ve also played a little Rachet & Clank: All 4 One since it was free on Playstation Plus, and I am loving it. It’s funny and light-hearted but still provides that little challenge that a game needs to keep you determined to beat it. And on my favorite console (the 360 duh!) I’m working on Lego Batman, Mass Effect 1, and I might try my second playthrough on Batman Arkham City. I want to play Sleeping Dogs, but the Redbox kiosks around my house are out of it and I doubt I’ll be getting it from Gamefly anytime soon.

Well I guess that sums it up for the last month, might not seem like a lot, but with work, games, podcasting, house work, and family time with the kiddo and hubs, I am exhausted. Thankfully I am off tomorrow and I plan to cram some more game time in, I’ve got a long list of games I need to catch up on before the big releases coming this fall and holiday season. I’m looking at you Assassins Creed III♥ Happy gaming and have a great weekend!
