Seems like the only time I have time to write is when every one is asleep, but by then I’m so tired I just want to crash out as well. I guess that’s the life of a working mother. That’s ok, Ally is totally worth it. While this isn’t the post I wanted it to be, it is something. That has to count right? I’m still working in a couple that I’ve been wanting to post for a week now, hopefully I’ll find some time in the next couple days to finish them up and deliver them straight to you with a big red bow.
Quick update time!
While I haven’t had time to actually write out a blog post (due to exhaustion and writers block), I have had a little time to spruce up my blog in general. I really love doing that. It’s so much fun! I added a header and background to bring some life to it all. And I’m pretty pleased with how all the widgets are working out and adding a little something to the blog. Ideally, the girl in the header image would have down eyes, but hey, beggars can’t be choosers. Maybe I’ll play around with photoshop later and see what I can do.
It has been one busy work week, and I am very ready for the weekend. Mykal wants us to have more family days and I am all for it. Last weekend we went to the Grapevine Mills Aquarium. It was a blast. Ally is too little to really enjoy the fishes, but she had a good time watching all the people run around. This was the kind of aquarium I was hoping for last year when we went to the Dallas Aquarium, which is more like a zoo by the way. It had a wonderful theme throughout the whole place that made you really feel the aquatic scene. Sharks, sea horses, stings rays, and even a little area where we could pet a starfish. They are much rougher and harder than they look.
It was just so nice to spend the day with Mykal and Ally. We did some shopping and ate at the Rainforest Cafe. It can be a bit pricey, but you only live once and Mykal had never been. So Rainforest Cafe it was. It was delicious! After a long day fun filled day, I was ready to relax when we got home. Too bad Ally had other plans.
Now that she’s crawling (yup she has been crawling for a couple weeks now I believe, I’m sure I forgot to mention it here), she wants to go everywhere. She can be exhausting to chase around all day! Of course she wants to get into everything I don’t want her in, and so I spend much of my time trailing after her and watching her like a hawk. Let’s just put her in a big hamster ball and get it over with. Haha.
I can’t wait to see what we do this weekend as a family. I’ll try and write about it as well as finish my other two posts. Thanks for reading! Until next time my friends!
